CHARACTER: Baxter is a pleasure to handle and is a horse who will very much fit in around your routine - he will not run the fence line if you're late! He has good manners, is good to shoe, clip, box/lorry etc. great in traffic and does not tend to hot-up when going anywhere new. He is a v.relaxed horse out hunting who will happily nanny youngsters, stand on point, stand quietly whilst you enjoy a port, or munch away whilst you stop for a pee!

RIDE: Although primarily a very quiet and relaxed horse I would not consider him a total novice ride.

HUNT HISTORY: Baxter is hunted primarily by 5'8" lady (of average capability!) with the Royal Artillery Hunt (Salisbury Plain), but has also been out on numerous occasions with the Avon Vale and Tedworth. He has real stamina and in 3 seasons has not had a lame day. He has been a stand-in Whips horse on several occasions proving himself excellent and quiet with hounds (if he was a little faster the Whip would be keeping him for himself!!!).

He is an extremely good-looking horse with great heritage (see the links below).

Sire: Ard Grandpa
(Ard Grandpa is now one of only eight R.I.D stallions in the Country to be awarded the GOLD status under the new approval system-this gives this veteran stallion recognition of both his superb performance in showjumping and dressage over the years and also that of his progeny who are doing so well all over the world.)

Brother: Grandpa's Diamond
